Film For Good

The Charity Film Awards celebrate the power of film in fundraising as well as driving positive conversations and support for good causes. Here we share some of our favourites from the 2020 winners list...

Surfers Against Sewage - The Creature

Through the moving story of a mysterious ocean animal beached on the sea, Surfers Against Sewage ask whether plastic pollution is destroying sea life faster than we’re able to discover it. A poignant message, given one marine mammal or sea bird dies every 30 seconds due to plastic pollution.

St Mungo’s - Potential

Made in two days on the streets of London, St Mungo’s ‘Potential’ film shows homeless people dressed up for the jobs they could do in the future, highlighting that with the right support, every homeless person has the potential to be something else.

The Salvation Army - Hidden In Plain Sight

With modern slavery sadly on the rise, the Salvation Army offers a stirring depiction of the many faces of adult slavery here in the UK, where victims are often hidden in plain sight in cafes, beauty salons and car washes.
