Co-creating Macmillan’s future with people living with cancer

Macmillan

We spoke with people who have lived experience of cancer - including Macmillan staff - to understand the biggest gaps they face in care, support and everyday life.

Through 90‑minute “community conversations”, co‑facilitated with someone who had lived experience, we created a safe space for people to share honestly and without judgement.

They told us what truly matters: care that feels personalised, holistic and joined‑up, and a system that sees them as people, not patients.

We brought these voices directly into Macmillan’s strategy process, helping shape the ambition and direction of their future vision.

Impact:

Real stories guiding Macmillan toward a future where cancer support is more human, more connected and shaped by those who rely on it most.
