Communities Experiencing Inequality
Our work helps bring to life the experience of inequality, whether based on gender, ethnicity, health inequality, poverty or other forms of inequality and discrimination. We platform the voices of people with lived experience, using their insights to drive better quality service design and policy making.
We have honed our specialist approaches in this area over many years:
Lived experience voice in advocacy: much of our work in this space involves foregrounding both the voices of those affected and powerful data to influence policy and practice. These outputs are only as good as their inputs so we carefully consider methodology and participant relationships to ensure that final materials ultimately change hearts and minds.
Safeguarding: we comply with and go far beyond the MRS and SRA safeguarding guidelines, including proactively mitigating for potential triggers, devising bespoke safeguarding approaches and offering tailored signposting.
Sensitive moderation and survey design: our team are all Mental Health First Aid-trained and experts in sensitive moderation. Surveys focussed on disadvantage or inequality are typically informed by qualitative work and evaluated by lived experience experts to ensure completing them is a safe and comfortable process.
