What Does Inclusive Play Really Mean to Kids?

Play Brand

We spent a week immersed in the everyday worlds of children and young people from minoritised groups around the globe, asking them to show us what diversity and inclusion look and feel like in their lives.

Through creative, playful mobile tasks, they shared the identities, experiences and moments that shape how they see themselves and what they want from the brands they love.

We then spoke to their caregivers to understand the wider context around their hopes, needs and expectations.

Their voices formed the heart of a D&I playbook presented to the play brand’s leadership, and helped inform their ongoing inclusion strategy based in research.

Impact:

Authentic insight that puts children's own definitions of inclusion at the centre — shaping how the play brand’s designs for, represents and empowers kids everywhere.
