Raw London Relay event: The power of insight in creating third sector campaigns
Doing as much work as we do with charities to develop their campaigns and communications, we were very excited to see the topic of Raw London’s latest Relay event! And even more excited to have the opportunity to present as part of the evening.
Raw London are a creative and strategic agency with a focus on charity and social purpose work. They are also a regular agency partner of ours who we have done some fascinating projects with. They run their annual Relay event to bring people in the sector together to share ideas, hear about some amazing work and get the opportunity to actually meet each other.
Cleo Pascal, one of our directors, teamed up with Catherine Bosworth, Director of Income Generation and Grants at Hospice UK, to talk about an exciting legacy BRTV campaign currently in development with Raw. We have done research throughout the development of this campaign, from an internal stakeholder phase, an exploratory qualitative phase to inform creative and then creative testing groups. We focused the talk on how research can fit in at different points of a project and how to think about what types of research fit where and produce different types of output and guidance.
Amanda Froude from Prostate Cancer UK spoke about how insight shaped their first DRTV campaign, Zoe Lomax spoke about the RSPCA’s rebrand and Alex Hurley from JAA Media spoke about the value of empathetic insight.
Hosted by Hannah Gilligan-Pearce, the event was a real testament to the role of insight and research in the charity sector, as well as a reminder of the value of getting together and sharing exciting work.
